News from the Cosmos
Inspired from testimonials heard from those attending the Australian Songwriters Conference, www.australiansongwritersconference.com.au, in 2009 and 2010, the song,
“The Power of One”, was written out of appreciation for the work accomplished through the ASC Songwriter Assist programs, www.ascsa.org.au, and the Conference itself. The ASC event (photo at right shows 2009 ASC attendees) is an asset to Ettalong Beach and the NSW Central Coast as well as throughout the world of songwriters, composers and music industry professionals – a new way of sharing our gifts of songwriting is dawning.
Many thanks to all the artists, songwriters, faculty, mentors, publishers and all who participated in making this song a reality. The Power of One is truly a tribute not only to one person, Lisa Butler, Director/Founder of the ASC, but also the people who are part of the team who make this wonderful Australian Songwriter Conference possible under her direction: Jason Blume (Head of Faculty), Rusty Wallis, Di Torrosian, Andrea Szabo, Sean Rudd, Alan Roy Scott, Lyn Bowtell Gregory, Kerry Garside, Michael Kucera, Terri Rowe and the many other people whose names we may not mention, but you know who you are. Hi Toni and all at Cosmo. Thank you so much for your wonderful support. I look forward to meeting and spending time with you all when I come to the USA (hopefully in November). Toni has told me so much about your organisation and the support and assistance you give to songwriters and artists in te USA.
