A little more info on our talented musical guests:

Manda Mosher: From The Late Late Show to The Loveless in Nashville; Manda Mosher’s award winning, sultry, Americana song stylings have graced stages both big and small across the US and abroad.

Manda’s new EP City of Clowns is the follow up to her critically acclaimed debut album on Red Parlor Records, Everything You Need of which All Access Magazine remarked, “This hurricane blows you away with her mighty skills on harmonica, her magnificently haunting alto and inspired songwriting.”
Manda Mosher

Along with the original title song, “The Only One” is a straight up love song that reflects that desire to be the only true love in your partner’s life. “State Trooper” is a Bruce Springsteen song from the Nebraska album that Manda expresses she has “always felt a connection to lyrically and the melodic sense of isolation and running from imminent capture.” After playing the song live, Manda decided to record it for the new EP on which she wanted to take a more stripped down authentic approach to recording and production. She aimed to reproduce what the band sounds like playing live, without the slick bells and whistles, again attempting to leave Hollywood behind.

In spite of her complicated liaison with Los Angeles, the city has long laid claim to Manda and her talent. She has received multiple Los Angeles Music Awards including “Female Singer-Songwriter of the Year”, garnered airplay on KCRW and worked for the Grammy organization for several years.

City of Clowns will be released on Red Parlor Records on August 10, 2010. For further information, news and tour dates please visithttp://mandamosher.com.

Brady Harris: Former frontman for the Replacements-inspired Solid Goldsteins, Brady Harris’ solo career has diverged from his previous work into a sound altogether more indicative of his Texas roots. Bearing considerable vocalresemblance to John Lennon, Harris crafts moody country-rock with a hard pop edge. His most recent record, “Year of The Pug” was released in 2010.  You can read more on the artist and multi-instrumentalist at http://www.bradyharris.com.

Steven Wilson: Plasticsoul’s most recent record, “Peacock Swagger” was rated #1 on Absolute PowerPop’s top 100 records of 2009.

“Plasticsoul, an adult alternative/pop/rock band hailing from Los Angeles, California, began in 2003 as a facade for singer/songwriter/producer Steven Eric Wilson (not to be confused with British prog-rocker Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree).  During the writing and recording of their debut album Pictures From The Long Ago, Plasticsoul morphed from a one man band into a duo when long time collaborator, Marc Bernal, officially joined the lineup.
Produced by Steven Wilson and Marc Bernal, and recorded almost entirely in the band’s Los Angeles studio The Ranch, Peacock Swagger has already garnered phenomenal praise from the music press.   You can follow more of Steve’s adventures in music athttp://www.plasticsoulmusic.com or on Facebook.
Brandon Schott….
Our life is art…
“With the burnished hush of intimate vocals, Brandon Schott evokes a sunny intimacy that belies a wistful emotional complexity. The title of his CD, Golden State, says it best as the lyrics map mythic byways of promise and possibility across the melodic horizons of classic Southern California songcraft.” -Dan Kimpel
Brandon is a Los Angeles based singer/ songwriter/ producer/ multi-instrumentalist who combines the eclecticism of newer such as Neil Finn and Jon Brion with the classic songcraft of the early 70s Laurel Canyon.  His upcoming album, “13 Satellites” is set for release with a big party Sun. Oct. 30th at the legendary Hotel Cafe in Hollywood.

NOTES FROM THE ALBUM PROCESS:

Today, we begin the process of unveiling our most adventurous album launch yet for the upcoming release of my 4th record, “13 Satellites” – coming October 25, 2011.  (Hotel Cafe CD Release is scheduled for Sun. Oct. 30th)

We have a very bold schedule planned for the fall, including a CD release party in Los Angeles, shows in Austin and Nashville and throughout the South West (TBA), 4 music videos in development, various photo shoots in the works (including one for the front cover this weekend), and most importantly – for the first time in my career – the hiring of a PR firm to handle all local and national press for the record, all of which leading up to the release of my most playful and ambitious record to date.

But in order to achieve all the above, and push this record harder than I’ve ever pushed an album release, I’m humbly and graciously asking for your help.

We’ve launched a fundraising website at IndieGoGo, and have put together some incentives and donation packages we think are fun and hopefully enticing enough to be worth of your well earned dollar!

In addition to your MUCH appreciated donation, we’d truly appreciate you spreading the word – sharing our efforts and campaign via Facebook / Twitter / email etc.  The further we can cast this net, the better this fundraiser and by extension this record will fare.

There’s also a considerable amount of additional information on “13 Satellites” at theIndieGoGo site, including an EPK and samples of songs from the record.  You can also stream the first single, “SATELLITE”, in full NOW right here at www.brandonschott.com

There will be quite a bit of news and many more exciting announcements to come in the next few weeks as we unveil the record further, so stay tuned to this site for all the updates.

I truly believe that this is the best record of my career – thank you all SO much for being a part of it’s past, present and future.

All my love to you!!  See you soon…

Brandon

See you Sun. Sept. 25th at The Cork Lounge… with Brandon Schott and Friends preented by COSMO from 7pm – 10pm. Thanks to all those behind the scenes who helped make this night a reality.
