CALABASAS, Ca., February 15, 2010 – The Method Fest film festival thanks filmmakers for submitting one of the strongest lineup of films in the Fest’s 12-year history, according to executive director Don Franken.

The 12th annual The Method Fest independent film festival, scheduled for March 25 – March 31st,  in Calabasas, Calif., will again feature character and story-driven films with strong acting performances.

The Method Fest features American and foreign feature films and short films and is named after “The Method” school of acting, which revolutionized the approach in acting, particularly in film.

The film lineup will be announced February 25 at Pierce College (see story below).

An amazing line up of Indie Music is scheduled for each night following the film screenings at various restaurants that are open to the public unless a private function including Sagebrush Cantina, Leonis Adobe Museum (private function), Fins Creekside, Flemings (private function),  Moz Buddha Bar, The Rack and the Calabasas Founders Hall.

The Leonis Adobe Museum (right) is the location of the industry only party to be held March 24, 2010 with live music and dinner served to the filmmakers and other invited guests.

Tickets for the 12th annual The Method Fest Independent Film Festival, March 25th-March 31st in Calabasas, are now available online through our ticket agency, Brown Paper Tickets. Screenings will be held at the Regency Agoura 8 theaters, Agoura Hills, and at Founders Hall at the Calabasas Civic Center. Ticket prices are:  VIP Festival Pass, $195, includes all film screenings, parties, Galas, and receptions, as well as seminars/panels at the fest.  For opening Night film, plus gala party, $50. For our weekend pass, $85. For Centerpiece film screenings, and reception, $25. For Closing Night Film and reception, $25. Individual screenings, other than the above mentioned events, are $10 and $7 for Seniors, current military members, and students with ID.

The reception starts at 6 pm, followed at 7:30 pm by the film lineup announcement. Arnie Morton’s Steakhouse will cater the event, and beverages will be provided by Stella Artois, Stockholm Krystal Vodka, and  IZZE.

The film selection for the 12th annual indie fest and the schedule of screenings and other festival activities will be announced at the party. Filmmakers, participating actors, entertainment industry, and media plus other invited guests will attend the party. Arnie Morton’s  is our restaurant host for the event, and will be providing its famous steak sandwiches, as well as as their legendary hot chocolate cake for dessert.

The 12th annual The Method Fest independent film festival will take place March 25 – April 1 in Calabasas. The Method Fest is the only film festival in America that puts its focus on the actor. The Method Fest is a festival of discovery, seeking story-driven films showcasing breakout acting performances by emerging stars and career-defining roles by established actors.
